Dr. King Kenneth Cheung (Ken) is a musculoskeletal radiologist currently practising at the Prince of Wales Hospital and North District Hospital in Hong Kong. He also holds honorary academic posts as Assistant Professor in Radiology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong. Previously he was Consultant MSK Radiologist at University College London Hospital (UCLH) in the UK between 2017-19, after completing his radiology training at UCLH with 2 years of MSK subspecialty training.
He studied at UCL and gained his MBBS, BSc (1st Hons in Medical Physics) and PhD degrees through the prestigious MBBS/PhD programme. He continued his research interests through the highly competitive NIHR Academic Foundation Programme (AFP) and Academic Clinical Fellow (ACF) schemes.
He has 16 publications in peer-reviewed journals, co-authored two textbooks, contributed over 40 scientific presentations, and is the recipient of Walter Berdon Award, the ESPR President Award and the RCR Edinburgh EAR Congress Prize. He regularly lectures at international conferences including the annual meetings of the Asian Musculoskeletal Society (AMS), Korean Congress of Radiology (KCR) and Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR).
He is a member of the AMS, BSSR and ESSR, and currently serves on AMS’s Executive Committee as Treasurer. He was a radiologist at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London. His special interests include sports, spine, tumours and DECT.
