Welcome to the 6^th CUHK Sarcoma Masterclass!

The science of sarcomas has advanced rapidly since the last decade. The heterogeneity and complexity of this disease have highlighted the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve better treatment outcomes and results. As an academic institution and a quaternary referral centre for Sarcoma care in Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH) established an Adult Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Tumor Board (MDT) in 2012. In recent years, we have continued to advance our collaborative efforts between various disciplines at a rapid pace.

This one-day incentive and interactive workshop will be comprised of didactic lectures, case discussions on practical aspects and the latest advances in multidisciplinary sarcoma management. Faculty members of this workshop are all active and experienced members of the CUHK/PWH Adult Sarcoma MDT, as well as other hospitals and institutions in Hong Kong.

We are especially delighted to have Professor Rick HAAS from The Netherlands Cancer Institute to join us at this year’s event. Prof. HAAS will share with us his insight on The Future of Radiotherapy in Soft-tissue Sarcomas: Dose Modulation, Hypofractionation, Flash Protons and More.

The overriding aim of this event is to promote multidisciplinary sarcoma care. We look forward to hearing your opinions and clinical practice references from your home country. This event will provide our attendees with face-to-face networking opportunities, enhancing collaborations among the Asia-Pacific region.
